Items Discussed:

* Sara Brestensky was in charge of today’s meeting. She welcomed everyone above and discussed the latest
newspaper article in Sunday, March 5’s news. We all agreed that Judy Laurinatis wrote an excellent and accurate
article describing our project. The students will send her a thank you note. Sara then went over the “action” items
from the February 28 Music Monday.

* Debbie Elwood suggested we extend participation in the search for talent to neighboring school districts such
as Burrell, Highlands, Riverview, Apollo Ridge, Springdale, Kiski and Freeport. Each community has top performing
artists and we would like to honor all of them. Pat Condelli will write a letter requesting the school districts help us
locate the top talent in our valley.

* Debbie Elwood will identify top talent in Kiski
* Buddy Lee will contact Sandy Staley in Highlands
* Maryann Justham will call Jim Lagoon from Burrell
* ______________ will identify top talent from Springdale
* ______________will identify top talent from Riverview
*______________will identify top talent from Apollo Ridge
*________________will identify top talent from Freeport (If anyone knows a volunteer for the blanks above,
contact me.)

* Buddy Lee announced the Saturday, April 15th WDUQ-FM special invitation to Len Hendry’s Saturday Night
Big Band Show from 6pm to 9pm at Duquesne University, a one hour interview. Bring a compact disc of
Johnny Costa to be played. Pat C (?) and Buddy may drive.

* Today was the first meeting of the Johnny Costa Showchoir. Ten students auditioned and began neat dance steps.
It was very successful. Everyone at Valley Middle School is invited to join in the fun!! Action Steps to be Completed
